Dua Lipa has been granted Albanian citizenship for spreading worldwide consciousness of Albania.
Albanian President Bajram Begaj mentioned Lipa, the daughter of Albanian immigrants, has made the nation proud.
“Completely happy to provide the one and solely Dua Lipa the decree of Albanian citizenship,” he said. “She has made us proud together with her international profession and engagement in necessary social causes.”
Lipa tweeted about her new citizenship, calling it an “honour.”
Lipa was born in London to her immigrant dad and mom, and in 2016, the singer and her father co-founded the Sunny Hill Basis to boost cash for individuals struggling in Albania.
Her Albanian citizenship comes forward of Albania’s one hundred and tenth anniversary of independence from the Ottoman Empire.
Lipa is about to carry out in Tirana, Albania on Monday for what she said is the ultimate present on her Future Nostalgia Tour.
