Ukrainian officers reported casualties within the southeastern metropolis of Zaporizhzhia early on Monday after a Russian missile strike destroyed an residence block.

In a Telegram put up, Oleksandr Starukh, head of the Zaporizhzhia regional navy administration stated: “One other multi-story residential constructing was destroyed on account of a rocket assault within the heart of Zaporizhzhia.”

“There are some casualties,” he added. “Rescuers, medics, and all corresponding companies are working on the scene of the tragedy. All essential help is being offered to the victims.”

Some context: Dozens of individuals have been killed and wounded in Russian missile assaults on residential buildings in Zaporizhzhia over the previous week. Town shouldn’t be removed from the entrance line, and the positioning of a nuclear energy plant that the worldwide group is watching warily.

A part of the broader area is occupied by Russian forces and final week Russian President Vladimir Putin signed measures to annex four areas of Ukraine, together with Zaporizhzhia, in violation of worldwide regulation.
